Job Description

 


MSH seeks an HIV/AIDS Advisor to provide the overall strategic framework for HIV/AIDS for an anticipated follow-on project in Mozambique to strengthen delivery services in reproductive and child health, disease prevention and control, and nutrition services.  In this role, you will provide technical support, guidance and leadership to the project for HIV/AIDS and related activities thus enhancing MSH profile as a leader in the field of HIV/AIDS.  The Advisor will provide guidance, leadership and support to other members of the Mozambique Project staff on HIV/AIDS and related activities; provide technical support and supervision to the community HIV/AIDS support program and its team; continually assess links between the services and their strengthening to ensure that those HIV exposed or infected have access to care and treatment; provide overall guidance at both provincial and district level in developing their HIV/AIDS strategic plan and operational plans; and mentor the MOH and other members of the HIV/AIDS team.  Position requires a medical degree, preferably in Public Health, with HIV/AIDS diploma. Experience is required in the development and implementation of HIV/AIDS programs in Mozambique for at least 5 years.  Position requires excellent written/ verbal skills in Portuguese and English and an ability to travel through the regions whenever necessary.
